At Banana Moon, our annual ‘My First Poem’ project celebrates each child’s creativity as they craft their very own poem. These heartfelt pieces are compiled into a beautifully published book—a treasured keepsake marking their early years. Poetry nurtures confidence, imagination, and early literacy while supporting the 4/5 of the key domains of our curriculum: Me, Us, Imagination, and Communication. This special tradition captures a moment in time, fostering a lifelong love for language and self-expression. We can’t wait to see this year’s wonderful poems!

Transitioning from a baby bottle to a cup is an important milestone that supports a child’s dental health, speech development, and healthy eating habits. Experts recommend introducing a cup at six months and fully transitioning by 12 months to prevent issues like tooth decay and poor nutrition. Using a free-flow cup, gradually replacing bottle feeds, and offering praise can make the switch easier.
